Sakura 240
This model has been made by 3DSets.
The moment 3DSets announced I was hooked immediately! The fact that you can control the ride height using the remote (with two extra smaller servo’s) is unique. So keep reading, to see my version of this beast of a machine!
This RC car, the Sakura 240, is a stunning example of craftsmanship and style. The car features a striking, glossy PLA material that shifts between green and purple hues depending on the lighting, giving the model a unique appearance. A custom widebody kit has been installed, giving the car an extra sporty and aggressive look, perfectly complemented by the wide gold rims. Additionally, an LED kit is integrated into the car, which not only enhances the realistic appearance but also provides impressive lighting while driving. This model combines aesthetics with functionality, making it a standout piece in any RC collection.
This car has got a few upgrade along the way, so keep scrolling to see all the differences!

Lets start with how the Sakura 240 looks now! I am working on a custom widebody kit to give the car even more looks. I found a model online which nearly perfectly fitted this car. After printing all the parts I had to do some adjustment, but it wasnt as much as expected.
Build process, widebody kit
Here I taped all the parts onto the car to see how they would fit. They fitted alot better than I tought they would!
New rims and headlights
It was time for some new rims! Luckily the internet has some amazing designers that already made some beatifull files. I also found a cool pair of Halo headlights online, and I had to make them work in this car. After making a custom fitting for the headlights they fitted great!
How this build started
This is how the Sakura 240 was in his first generation. Still looks amazing in my opinion!
